Car Parking

There is limited on street parking near our building which is pay and display red zone.  The parking meter is on St. Joseph’s Parade

Using a smartphone you can download the parking tag app, “parkingtag” where you can register your car and top using a debit or credit card.

Maximum parking time limit is 3 hours.

Disabled Parking

If you hold a disabled drivers permit you can park in the pay and display parking on street free of charge.
If you require wheelchair access please advise us when you arrive.

Mater Car Park

Private car park on Eccles Street – between the Mater and the Mater Private. Cost €3 per hour or a maximum of €15 per day.  This car park is approximately a 10 minute walk.

Walking

From Mater Private

Walk to the pedestrian crossing at the crossroads, cross in the direction of Eccles Townhouse with the Mater Private at your back. Continue on Dorset Street past the Findlater pub and take the second turn on your right to St. Joseph’s Place. 

From Drumcondra Train Station

Exit the train station and turn right onto Drumcondra Road Lower. Cross the bridge onto Dorset Street Lower. Continue on the same side of the road through 3 sets of traffic lights on Dorset Street Upper.  After Eccles Townhouse take the second turn on the right onto St. Joseph’s Place. 

From O'Connell Street

From the GPO walk to the top of O'Connell Street keeping right at the Ambasador Theatre. Continue past the Gardens of Remembrance and at the second traffic lights cross at the pedestrian lights, turn right, we are the first turn on the left.
